Tribes Overall: "This was our fourth holiday we booked through Tribes, so the expectations were high, having had fantastic previous trips. But, as before, everything was perfect. We only had ten days, but we feel we’ve been away for ten weeks! I simply gave Paul Cook, our travel co-ordinator, a few pointers (the sort of activities we wanted, a bit about ourselves and when and how long we wanted to go) and he came up with excellent suggestions. Although tweaking was possible, there was no need. It was a perfect mix of nature and culture.

Tribes Service: "As mentioned before, Paul Cook was a dream to deal with. In the time leading up to the trip I didn't have much time, but I could simply drop an email and leave things to Paul to organise. The suggestions he gave fitted perfectly around the voluntary teaching stint we did. Thanks, Paul!"
Guides: "The guides were very knowledgeable. Dukhi is clearly passionate about birds (and so are we) and the only question Baburam couldn't answer was how many holidays there are in Nepal (because this changes every year ;) They also took into account our wishes, checking whether we were happy to do things like visiting local people, seeing the Kumari or watching cremations."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "This is a difficult one to answer, but I guess we contributed to protecting wildlife."
Accommodation
Amazing views (I'm becoming repetitive ;) but with hind-sight perhaps the ferry-trip puts you off going for an authentic meal in Pokhara in the evening. Also, I feel they should make wifi available in the rooms, not just the restaurant.
Breathtakingly mountain views from a beautifully restored traditional house.
Beautiful, tranquil gardens and knowledgeable staff joining us on some of our safaris.
Perhaps you can suggest to serve more authentic food though.
Loved the hot water bottles!
Our Memories
"In Chitwan National Park we did three wildlife safaris - on foot, by canoe and on elephant back. Even though we were covering the same area, the experience was very different every time. When the elephant safari came to an end the elephant “driver†was told that a one-horned rhino had been spotted and he went back into the jungle, so – apart from great birdlife, various deer and monkeys we also spotted an Asian one-horned rhino and her young."
"The sunrise mountain view from Sarangkot was just mind-blowing. Oh, and seeing one of the largest Stupas in the world in the middle of a busy street in Kathmandu and the guide having booked a rooftop table for lunch overlooking this magnificent site."
