Holiday review by Jeff Webster

Name:
Date of trip: 24/09/2011
Number of people: 2
Country: Tanzania

Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "The trip exceeded all our expectations. Travelling to remote destinations enables game watching to be conducted at leisure without lots of other vehicles invading your space."

Tribes Service: "All pre departure information was provided in a neat and orderly fashion."

Guides: "All were good but those at Mwagusi were the best."

Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Yes; local people were employed at all the camps/lodges which not only helped the local economy but emphasised the value of the wildlife to that community."

Accommodation

Selous Impala Camp
Another good camp where the catering was of top quality.

Mwagusi Safari Camp
This was the best of an excellent bunch. The chef was particularly inventive which is why he has been there since 1985! The guides had all been trained to a high standard and it showed.

Kungwe Beach Lodge
Another beautiful location on Lake Tanganyika. Unfortunately we had some clothing stolen from our baggage which we did not notice until we arrived at our next destination. A shame because we were well looked after.

Katuma Bush Lodge
Beautifully located overlooking the Katisunga Plains we were able to watch elephants and hippos just a few feet from our tent.

Fumba Beach Lodge
A wonderful spot - just a shame about the rain!
