Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "An extremely well organised tour throughout with fabulous sightings of most of the wildlife we hoped to encounter and first class guides."
Tribes Service: "Paul, our consultant, was with us from beginning to end. He had excellent knowledge of the places we visited and the things we could realistically hope to see."
Guides: "First class. Very knowledgeable, excellent English. The guide at Cristalino (Eduardo) was a magnificent birder (which suited David enormously) and a delightful young man too!"
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Good"

Araras Eco Lodge
Nice, well situated rooms. Welcoming staff and good food. Groups trips out were not so wildlife committed as we might have liked, but enjoyable nontheless.
Cristalino Lodge
Superb! Adventurous to get too, beautiful situation in the forest. Worth going for the upgraded room - lovely! Great trips out, especially with a fantastic guide like Eduardo and the towers were a real adventure. Even David managed to get to the top, and he has a real fear of heights - not to be missed. Afternoon river trips were wonderful, especially sipping a cold beer at sundown and negotiating the rapids back down the river in the dark - thanks to superb boatmanship Alessandro!
Floresta Amazonica Hotel
Very nicely situated hotel with its own small reserve. Room was rather basic compared with the rest of the hotel but the grounds were lovely with nice pool. Food was good and excellent value. Highlight was the harpy eagle nest in the grounds, so exciting and well set up for photography. Seeing that chick (and what a chick!!) made D's holiday.
