Country: Botswana

Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "Overall a most enjoyable holiday with a wide range of animals and birds. All the travel arrangements worked well and the various camps were very comfortable and coped with our varied dietary needs."

Tribes Service: "Hannah was very helpful and knowledgeable having recently visited Botswana and a number of the camps where we stayed. "

Guides: "Our guides were varied but all excellent. They had a good knowledge of wildlife and made every effort to ensure that we saw as much as possible and were prepared to be flexible. "

Social & Environmental Responsibility: "The camps all employed local people. The camps were careful with their resources and respected the surrounding wildlife and vegetation. Gifts were usually made by charitable groups so funds went to them, eg San people, Mothers for Children."

Accommodation

Pom Pom Camp
Beautiful setting for camp and our tent. While the food was eventually fine, the messages between staff did not seem to get through immediately. Enjoyable mokoro trip - utterly peaceful.

Meno a Kwena
Camp delightful with very helpful staff who again coped with our diets very well. Loved the tent and bucket shower - view over the river and zebra herds was magical. No mosquito net though we were informed mosquito’s were not a problem. We enjoyed an interesting walk with Max the guide.

Kwara Camp
Comfortable again but no mosquito net. Lovely setting and good food - this time very attentive to my vegetarian diet. Guides were great fun and managed their vehicles well though these could have benefitted from increased maintenance.

Elephant Valley Lodge
Comfortable tent, good food - the chef made delicious gluten free bread and cakes especially for my wife. Staff all very friendly and helpful.
