Country: Costa RicaOverall level of Satisfaction
Tribes Overall: "Excellent"
Tribes Service: "The contact and information given by Paul were excellent, with a very good communication on all the questions we had.
One comment however: the details that were supposed to be given by the local travel agency were very light indeed. In fact, nothing really more than what Paul told us. In my opinion, this could really been improved.
The food was a very good surprise – with the best rating maybe for
Tortuguero. It’s not something we had in mind when deciding to go to Costa Rica
but definitely we managed to discover Costa Rica specialties and all the fruits
and vegetables it can offer. Very good surprise indeed – fresh, tasteful,
inventive. Congratulation to the cooks!

Guides: "We had basically 4 main different guides along our trip. The first one, a woman who went with us from San Jose to the boat to Tortuguero, was very nice and interesting. A very good first contact and introduction with the country. In Tortuguero we spent most of our time with Angelo, with was very knowledgeable about his village and very nice. The best guide was definitely Fabio, in Corcovado, a young and very nice guide, with already passion and knowledge about Costa Rica wildlife. The very last day, an the other hand, the guide we had was much more a "mass tourism" guide, who unfortunately managed to bring us to the typical kind of tourist shop you can find all over the world for naive tourists - in addition it was not supposed to be part of our program. Part of the day with him was the only thing we disliked during our trip, because this was typically what we want to avoid while on holidays."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "The most memorable moment was the time we spent at the local school in Tortuguero, to "teach" English to young kids! Building this kind of relation between tourists and young locals is definitely a very good idea (despite the fact that we were a bit reluctant at first because we are French....)"
Accommodation
Nice and comfortable. Maybe a bit far from town center
Splendid location. The service at the restaurant was however a bit "too much" - sometimes we need more privacy and less attention
Amazing place - and very good guide - who even managed to make the cook prepare a surprise bithday cake for me ...., again. Two comments however: definitely the hotel needs to arrange to have a better wifi (only available at a very small spot near the swimming pool, and only for 1 or 2 people at the same time); and the manager is a bit "tough" and not specially helpful (despite the fact we informed him at the beginning that we had an issue with hot water - no hot water basically), the problem has not been fixed (he pretended we used too much hot water, before recognising it was due to a technical problem)
Very nice location. But no tour of the property (only an explanation)
Our Memories
"The most amazing experience was the trip to Corcovado - unexpected one..... 1 hour on the river then the famous breaking point to enter the Pacific...... and again 1 hour on the ocean before reaching the lodge beach and jump into the water between the waves.....
(by the way it's maybe worth informing travellers about it because, depending on weather conditions, it can be very impressive)."
