Holiday review by Peter Hunt
Name: Peter HuntDate of trip: 20/08/2010
Number of people: 2
Country: BrazilOverall level of Satisfaction
Tribes Overall: "Excellent"
Tribes Service: "See above."
Guides: "Guides in Amazon were excellent and very knowledgeable. Carlos, our guide in the Pantanal was knowledgeable enough but he was overattentive."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "This applies to the nature reserves & Ilha Grande only. There was no wildlife in Rio and we knew that a big city was not going to be our cup of tea but we had to see it! A day was sufficient for our needs."
Accommodation
The best accommodation of all the places we stayed. Cool, comfortable & spacious. From the accommodation point of view you would not believe that it was an Eco resort in the middle of a jungle miles from civilization. The food was more limited but excellent. All the staff were kind and obliging. All in all it met all our expectations.
Bathroom poor & needed an update. Breakfast menu limited in comparison with others.
This hotel deserved a better mark but the bathrooms had again seen better days & let it down. The facilities were numerous and the grounds vast including its own 'forest' & wildlife & ' jungle walk' on about 1 km paved footpath that was most underused & deserted. No restaurant in the evening just bar meals but a good bar menu.
