Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "We could not fault our trip in the slightest. Everything went perfectly from being met at Quito airport to us being delivered back there 12 days later. We had the most perfect honeymoon and have some wonderful memories to look back on."
Tribes Service: "Paul was fantastic and his advice was invaluable. His recommendations of boat, itinerary and hotel were spot on. We are grateful for his patience and expertise. It is entirely down to him that our holiday was as fabulous as it was."
Guides: "Tatiana was brilliant. She had such a fantastic knowledge of the islands, history, geology, wildlife. She spoke perfect English and had a wonderful sense of humour. She evidently loves the islands and wants to share her knowledge."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "We were really impressed with advice given about conserving water and electricity. Recycling facilities were fantastic - we could even recycle things we can't in the UK. "

Patio Andaluz
Very clean and comfy. We used the bar but not the restaurant as it's a 2 minute walk from the Plaza Grande where there are numerous opportunities to people watch! The staff were extremely helpful. We got a bit of road noise in the morning but nothing major.
Finch Bay Eco Hotel
Absolutely lovely. Very clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that beer was sold in 'stubbies' rather than in the litre bottles we'd got accustomed to! Gorgeous pool - and we loved the fact that there was a family of ducks that lived under one of the sunloungers. The staff didn't seem to mind in the slightest - even when cleaning the 'calling cards' that they did on a regular basis! We woke every morning to the sound of finches in the trees outside our room. They are so tame that they would come and sit on the hammock with you! There were some lovely touches like a congratulations card for our honeymoon. I wouldn't be put off by the fact the hotel is a little out of the way - it is only 30 seconds by water taxi from the main harbour. The hotel has its own boat you can use but it's only $1 to get a taxi. The only thing worth noting is that it's a 5 minute walk from the jetty to the hotel - whilst there is a beach right outside the hotel, the boats don't tend to use it.
Galapagos Odyssey
Can't praise it highly enough. The cabin was beautifully clean and attended to twice a day. We particularly liked the daily towel sculptures! There was tons of space on board and you never felt that you were crowded with the other guests or crew. The food was good and fresh. Perhaps a little limited for veggies but always a choice of 2 mains and plenty of side dishes. They took dietary considerations very seriously. The crew were wonderful - hard working, friendly, good humoured, informative and went out of their way to make sure you saw things. Completely professional and trustworthy - no need to worry about your possessions here. We never bothered with the safe deposit box. The welcome / farewell cocktails were a nice touch and a good opportunity to meet the behind scenes crew. The itinerary was jam packed - you certainly get your money's worth. Generally, there are 4 visits / activities per day. If you're not in bed exhausted (but happy) at 9, then you're not trying!
