Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "The trip was beyond our expectations. Rodolfo and I had an absolutely great time. I guess safaris in Africa will have such an effect on anyone."
Tribes Service: "We thank you and all your operators in Kenya for providing us with an amazing holiday. "
Guides: "The guides at Karisia and Porini Lion Camp were the best."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "We appreciated the Porini camps and the walking safari being operated by the Maasai. This definitely added another perspective to our experience. "

Amboseli Porini
The visit to the village was very interesting and the wildlife viewing was of course amazing. We had problems with transfer times in and out of the park but the weather was exceptionally wet!
House of Waine
The house of Waine was just beautiful. They gave us the biggest suite. All went well, the elephant orphanage was worth the visit.
Karisia Camping
The walking safari - fantastic. We can only thank you for offering this option. The crew was outstanding , the food excellent and our head guide Gabriel , very knowledgeable and really added a sense of security to the adventure. A special thanks to whole camp crew and especially to Gabriel, Boniface, the chef, the person attending our table most of the time (he gave me a bottle of honey) and our very colourful camel attendant.
Porini Lion Camp
At this point we were a little safaried out... However the beauty of the Mara, the ease of spotting animals and the first thing we saw being a cheetah hunting..all this reawakened our senses and we had a fabulous 3 days. This camp is definitely much better managed than the Amboseli one. The guides better, the food superior, the cleanliness better and they were always on time. The replacement manager had malaria but he came in to greet us and as soon as he felt better joined us for a moment around the fire. Our guide Joseph was very dedicated and the driver was a great spotter. The chef came to the dining room every evening to say hello - all dressed in a white chef's uniform and green crocs!
Saruni Samburu
Saruni Lodge was definitely a good choice. Pleasant surprise. We were moved there when Intrepids Lodge was flooded out. Our pilot that flew us up there, took us low over the Ewaso River so we could see the extend of the flood damage .... it was amazing.
