Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "The trip was amazing, and everything ran smoothly from the planning process through to arriving home at the end of our honeymoon. A massive thanks to everyone at Tribes and the local suppliers who did so much to make sure everything was perfect."
Tribes Service: "The booking process was seemless, from the planning through to departure. Hannah was incredibly helpful with everything from accomodation, transport, flights, travel money, vaccinations, visas etc."
Guides: "Our guide in Tanzania was incredibly knowledgable, and had a knack for spotting wildlife from a distance. It made such a difference and made the trip all the better. We always felt safe and his driving was good."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Good"

Bougainvillea Safari Lodge
The Bougainbillea Safari Lodge was our least favourite accomodation. While the lodge was very comfortable, we had no hot water which was less than ideal after a long day of driving. The meal was not up to the same quality as the other accomodation we stayed in, but it was comfortable enough. We did enjoy sitting by the pool, and the gardens were beautiful.
Ikoma Bush Camp
The eco lodge was really nice. The staff were friendly and really put in the effort to make sure we had a good stay. This included a really nice honeymoon meal outside by the fire pit. The accomodation was really comfortable, and we had amazing views out over the Serengeti. At night, the staff had to escort us back to our rooms with weapons in case of animals - we had hyenas under our hut at one point...! The lodge also organised a walking safari (a really good trip!) and an open sided vehicle trip. This ended with tea and coffee by the Grumeti River watching the wildlife. This was incredibly memorable - the best cup of coffee ever!
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
The Sopa Lodge had incredible views over the crater, and this was worth the stay alone. The accomodation and food was great. It had a different feel from all the other places - it was very busy, and felt somewhat less personal. We got to know all the staff in the smaller lodges and camps, whereas the Sopa Lodge was a much larger operation. It isn't so much a criticism, as we had a great night here - more of an observation!
Unguja Lodge
Ralph and Eljies (that is probably spelt wrong!) made us feel so welcome in Unguja, and our stay here was one of the highlights of our trip. The accomodation was spectacular, with our hut facing straight out to the ocean. The staff left coffee on the doorstep each morning, and we spent most mornings sitting outside our hut drinking coffee and watching the dolphins swim by. I also did a lot of diving with Nick (the on-site dive master) which was brilliant, and we went on a trip to swim with the dolphins to the south too. The food and staff were amazing. We spent most evenings sat by the pool chatting away with the other guests and Ralph and Eljies drinking the cocktails of the day. We will definitely be going back to Unguja. We made friends with some of the other guests (lots of honeymooners!) and got to look around the other huts. Those away from the ocean had a cool plunge pool, but we would pick the ocean view everytime.
House of Waine
We were met on arrival with a cocktail before being transferred to the Malaika Suite where we were greeted with a bottle of champagne. The room was amazing (bigger than our house!) with a great balcony overlooking the stunning gardens and pool area. The staff prepared a special honeymoon meal for us in a separate room from other guests, with rose petals on the floor and an open fire in the corner. The food was fantastic (although lottie didn't really get to enjoy much of it as she had picked up a stomach bug....), and then on return to our room there were rose petals all over the floor and bed. The staff at House of Waine were fantastic, and we were made to feel so welcome. We couldn't recommend the hotel more. It was a perfect end to our honeymoon.
