Holiday review by John Youngberg
Name: John YoungbergDate of trip: 17/05/2010
Number of people: 2
Country: ZambiaOverall level of Satisfaction
Tribes Overall: "A once in a lifetime dream trip produced a problem-we want to go back!"
Tribes Service: "We have used Tribes before and the standard is still the same. Excellent listening skills by the staff to ensure they give the advice and itinerary most suited to you. Their first hand experience and enthusiasm are also very infectious."
Guides: "Zambian guides are trained to a high standard, but their technical knowledge is matched by a love for the environment they work in. Their people skills are also suberb.
"
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "We could say excellent, but its an ongoing process of cooperation and involvement so it obviously can improve. Its good that the companies are involved with the schools and take classes on trips into the park (South Luangwa)"
Accommodation
Magical-it casts its spell from the minute you arrive, a combination of wonderful location, camp and staff. We didn't want to leave and now we want to go back!
The Bradt guide said that your memories of this village would outlive those of the wildlife- we think that will prove to be true. It is very different to our lives and the things we take for granted. Despite the problems the people have a strong sense of community and in the school and village made us so welcome we will not forget our 24 hrs with them.
