Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "Fabulous holiday, all went very smoothly, all pickups were there and transfers on time, choice of locations provided really varied landscapes and wildlife, 8 days was perfect amount of time."

Tribes Service: "yes Alex was very helpful."

Guides: "All our guides were exceptional. incredible knowledge of all the birds and animals, great navigation and tracking skills of all animals"

Social & Environmental Responsibility: "As tourists, we were happy that a percentage of our money goes towards the local community, this is very apparent at Sango Safari camp, where you sense the pride the locals take in their work through their interaction with us and each other."

Accommodation

Moremi Crossing
This was our last stop, and the most disappointing. Perhaps after the other 2 intimate camps, this felt a bit too big, without enough staff or perhaps funds, to keep it well maintained. The tents were quite dirty, especially the adjoining room for our 2 teenage children, perhaps it hadn't been used in a while,so there were layers of dust and piles of dead moths in corners and under beds. No mosquito nets either, the only camp without them, which was disconcerting considering we were right on the delta front. On the plus side, our guide Action was fantastic, we saw great wildflife. and although they couldnt offer boat safaris due to the low water levels, we felt we saw much more on the game drives they offered. The manager and Tiny, did their best, but perhaps dont have the staff or resources to keep the place clean. It just didnt have the happy welcoming feel of Sango Camp, so perhaps a hard act to follow.

Sango Safari Camp
Sango Safari Camp, stood out for us, an amazing experience, The camp is small and intimate, but very well cared for, and the service was understated but superb. Nelson went out of his way to make us feel at home. We loved the welcome, the singing, the cool towels we received after a long game drive. The guides and staff all got on really well and you felt that they were one big family. The food was excellent, and the low energy consumption very well thought out.

Our Memories

"For me one of the most special moments was arriving at Sango Safari Camp and the heartfelt welcome we received from the staff there, singing a welcoming song to us, and introducing us to their "family". This enitre camp experience was exceptional, and definietly the best, Nelson the manager is clearly doing a great job, all the staff seemed so happy, and we were always greeted warmly, with cool face towels to greet us after a long drive. we had many special wildflife moments, KB our Guide at Sango, determined that we would find the lions, before our onward flight home, and with 5 mins to spare, we saw them. Our guide "Action" at Moremi crossing was also exceptional, and sought out the Rhinos, a pride of Lions, and on the last morning"
