Country: Galapagos Islands

Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "It was an amazing holiday in every respect."

Tribes Service: " I doubt we could have found a better company to deal with. Knowledgeable, charming, and patient. Their response to any request for additional information was speedy and very professional. They went out of their way to provide us with a fantastic holiday. "

Guides: "The guides were punctual polite informative and all spoke excellent English."

Social & Environmental Responsibility: " It’s always difficult to tell the impact on the local environment but I would say that as much as possible I hope the holiday didn’t have a detrimental impact on the local communities or wildlife. I doubt more could have been done by the operators on the ground."

Accommodation

Hotel Albemarle
The view from our bedrooms was breathtaking. The hotel was quiet And pleasant.

Casa Andina Cusco Plaza
Great location but rather soul less. And one room I had contained windows that looked onto the corridor without blackout blinds and lights going on and off all night.

El MaPi
A lovely hotel in every respect. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Beluga
We love the Beluga.

La Casona de la Ronda
This was our favourite. Old, beautifully maintained, comfortable, large rooms with amazing Wooden polished floors.

Our Memories

" There were many highlights but I think the three of us enjoyed our time on the boat Beluga most of all. The crew were delightful, the naturalist on board was outstanding and the other passengers were all a delight to be with. Almost everything worked like clockwork in a very pleasant way. We had a packed itinerary but also time to relax. The Beluga was comfortable without being smart or formal. The food was delicious, healthy, and plentiful. Bernie our naturalist was outstanding in every respect. He spoke excellent English, he was young, enthusiastic, and had a seemingly fathomless knowledge of everything around us."
