Galapagos Islands holiday ideas experiences accommodation when to visit galapagos-islands map reviews

Holiday review by Ingrid Demaerschalk

Date of trip: 19/05/2019
Number of people: 1
Country: Galapagos Islands

Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "It was an fabulous trip, both Galapagos and Easter Island. Galapagos is basically a big zoo and I saw many more animals then i thought i would. Perhaps a bit too much advanced snorkeling for any beginners. Easter Island is mysterious and fascinating."
Tribes Service: "A lot of information was supplied, although the itinerary I was given did not really reflect reality. Some more information up front about my transit from Galapagos to Easter islands would have been helpful in terms of knowing when and where I would have to pick up my luggage (was not aware that luggage can not be checked through between domestic and international flights). "
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Noticed some interesting ways of how the environment is more and more on the forefront in hotels with water dispensers rather than providing bottled water for example. Did feel I was pressured a little to buy souvenirs in order to support the local economy... "

La Casona de la Ronda
Very nice and quaint hotel with very nice staff.
The Beagle is showing its age in places but it the accommodation is adequate, the Chef was excellent with lovely meals prepared for us and it was nice to be able to eat outside. The crew was very friendly and helpful
Altiplanico Rapa Nui
Nice hotel with each room being an individual little building. All with a lovely view especially at sunset and within walking distance of town.
