Tribes Overall: "Superb. Surpassed ALL my expectations, it was a truly magical experience and was all that I had asked for and more. We were immersed in the African landscape which I found surprisingly tranquil and it was amazing to see so much wildlife. I had said that I wasn’t particularly looking to see the ‘big five’ as it was my first safari experience but seeing all those animals and more just made it more special.
Tracy from Tribes was excellent with all her suggestions for our trip and her advice and information from start to finish. I am nightly recommending your company to friends and family. Thank you for the most amazing lifetime experience."
Tribes Service: "As noted above, Tracy was excellent in every way "
Guides: "Guide Josiah was brilliant, highly knowledgable and had a great sense of humour, he absolutely made each drive a fascinating and fun experience. He has a relaxed and informative style, and he is a lovely guy.
Our driver was also excellent "
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "The Lodge was beautiful and just melted into the environment, care was taken to recycle and be mindful with rubbish, loved the outdoor shower"
Accommodation
Gorgeous accommodation, lovely, kind and thoughtful staff, delicious food
Our Memories
"Where to start! From the moment we boarded the little airplane from Maun the excitement began. I loved the flight over the Okavango Delta, we could see the beauty from above and pick out the animals, so special. Then, picked up by Josiah and driving to our Lodge, straight away we encountered animals, herds of Zebra, Giraffe, and so on, we had arrived in Africa!
The accommodation was superb, beautiful room, so peaceful and we really didn’t know we had neighbours, felt like we had the wonderful peace and beauty of Botswana all to ourselves.
After our first game drive we arrived back at the Lodge to be greeted by the staff and some wonderful African singing and dancing, what a fabulous way to enjoy our first evening.
All the Game drives bought new experiences and a host of animal and bird life to enjoy. My son and I particularly enjoyed the walking Safari, amazing to be in the wilderness on our own with just our guide and driver.
Finally our last experience was going out into the waters of the Delta, Wow! We were watched by a family of hippos just a few feet away! It was so peaceful and so stunning there and the birds and water plants were just beautiful, I’ve run out of superlatives...
