Country: Tanzania

Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "All the arrangements worked fine except for a slight hitch on arrival at Zanzibar airport. Thought Nature Discovery were good. Liked safari vehicle, well designed and well thought out, padding round hatches, cushions on seats. Water dispenser. Plenty of room for the 7 of us."

Tribes Service: "Tracy very knowledgeable, accommodated our requirements perfectly. She was right to insist on Tarangire rather than Manyara."

Guides: "Mbise is the cousin of Alex Mbise who was our guide with Simba Safaris in 1997! We all liked him very much. A very sympathetic character. An ex-soldier, he and Jeremy had a quiet chat about his experiences in the war with Uganda. He said he liked us because we packed light and were patient! Of course he knew all the animals and birds. A really great guy."

Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Hard to know. Probably good."

Accommodation

Tarangire Sopa Lodge
All packed lunches good. Tarangire was incredibly good introduction to game viewing as saw 2 cheetahs straightaway almost, and lots of elephants.

Country Lodge
Didn't fancy going for a walk outside much.

Sea Cliff Resort and Spa
Had a great stay. All the staff very friendly, food good, facilities excellent.

Our Memories

"Tarangire great start to game viewing with 2 cheetahs on fallen tree. Eventually saw all the 5. Leopard up a tree, rhino in distance in Ngorongoro. Lions mating. Son-in-law and grandsons enjoyed jet skiing at Kendwa (Nungwi). Sea Cliff very relaxing."
