Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, our trip was the perfect blend of busy touring and then some essential relaxing on the beach."
Tribes Service: "Paul did a fantastic job of arranging the trip for us and everything went like clockwork."
Guides: "All of the guides were very knowledgeable, however it was very difficult to understand some of them due to the accent and we felt that this was rather a drawback as we were really struggling to understand what they were telling us on sight-seeing trips and eventually we "gave up". We also found a couple to be a little "pushy" ie on their agenda rather than ours, particularly the guides in Yangon and Mandalay and it was quite hard work getting them to give us options if we didn't want to see yet another Stupa. The guide at Inlay was extremely good and we enjoyed all of our visits with her."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "A couple of the hotels were "Eco friendly" and we visited a local school where we made a donation, but otherwise not especially."

Inle Princess Resort
Absolutely Perfect!! wished we had stayed longer.
Mandalay Hill Resort
Good central location but pretty average really - rooms were on the small side and the price for dinner was comparatively very expensive. Probably my least favourite of the hotels we stayed in.
Ngapali Bay Villas
Accommodation superb, however the food service lacked what I would expect from a 5* property. The food quite frequently arrived cold or not at all until waiters were prompted. We got fed up with this and ate out most of the time. I've given an excellent as the bungalows were wonderful and made up for the bad service
Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort
Beautiful setting on the river with an amazing swimming pool which was very welcome after a morning of sight-seeing. The bungalows were lovely and very comfortable.

Our Memories

"Inlay lake was my favourite - calm peaceful and great experiences seeing the amazing fishermen, local craft workshops and the market"
