Number of people: 2
Country: IndiaOverall level of Satisfaction
Tribes Overall: "Way beyond my expectations!
The whole process from enquiry to leaving India was so very well organised I cannot praise all involved highly enough.
We both felt like royalty while in India, all our guides were excellent, but our driver was a Superstar!"
Tribes Service: "Amazing and awesome value for money.
Sara found you, so glad she did!"
Guides: "Pramod's driving was sublime.
Vik in Delhi was great, we were a bit overwhelmed by the history lesson but we should have read a bit before we came.
However it was a superb introduction to India.
Najenda was an intelligent, relaxed chap who took us to a great place for lunch. Jaipur history was again a huge subject to cover in a day but he recommended we read 'A Princess Remembers' which was fascinating.
Taron made me cry! The Taj Mahal probably makes others do the same but his history lesson as we walked closer was emotional, I can't believe he does more or less the same every day. He made the whole Agra visit special, visting other sites that were quiet with few others there.
Our guide at Chambal whose name escapes me, was an enthusiast and his enthusiasm was infectious. He took us on the river twice, patiently walked around the mamouth horse fair and to the temple for the evening ceremony.
"
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "I didn't feel we caused any problems. I hope we benefited the people or areas we visited."
Accommodation
Whole experience awesome. No tv, phone, and limited wi fi with drinks around the fire in the evening was all so very relaxing. I loved the food here. The staff very organised and caring. Chef took us into the kitchen to show us round.
Heaven
Restaurant fab, staff a bit disorganised in a charming way, food terrific.
Spa was just great, can recommend it.
The staff were lovely. The Sevilla was a lovely evening out.
Our Memories
"Pramod took me to Gaitore in Jaipur - it was getting gloomy so very mystical.
Train ride from Delhi to Jaipur, fabulous!
Spoke to the Indian families on board.
We regret not visiting Pramod the driver's family."
