Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "We couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon, it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience! We may have been lucky with some of the experiences on safari but they were just the icing on the cake, we had a great time and Having gone based on Amanda's recommendation we can't thank her enough for making our honeymoon such a memorable experience - thank you!"
Tribes Service: "As you know we had an issue with our booking, but Amanda was fantastic at resolving the problem and offering us alternative options. I spoke to Amanda when we were looking to find a honeymoon destination and she was very knowledgable and provided several suggestions based on my initial thoughts and budget. She was also very helpful after we'd booked the trip and we had questions regarding what to take etc."
Guides: "Our guide at Selous was fantastic, he was so knowledgable about the animals and environment, and if it wasn't for his amazing eyesight we would have definitely missed out on several animal sightings. "
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Difficult to say in any detail but both resorts employed local individuals. Fundu Lagoon provided more detail on in terms of what it did for the local community - building schools etc. We met one of the owners whilst there who told us how they work with the local villages, it was nice to hear how much care they took in ensuring the resort worked with the local villages."

Fundu Lagoon
Fundu Lagoon is a relaxing paradise, where you can decide whether to spend your days enjoying the beautiful scenery or making the most of the surrounding sea life. All the staff are really friendly and keen to help, the accomodation is lovely and there is nothing better than watching the sunset with one of the cocktails on the jetty bar. It is impossible to go to Fundu Lagoon and to not come back rejuvenated.
Zanzibar Palace Hotel
We only stayed overnight in the hotel, but the staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging an early guided tour of Stone Town to ensure we saw the sights in the short time we were in Zanzibar. The hotel itself was immaculate inside and we ate in the restaurant, it was fantastic, the best meal of our holiday!

Our Memories

"We absolutely loved the safari, neither of us had been on safari before and Selous was the perfect place to do it without having to go to somewhere that we had to share the experiences with many others in jeeps. We were lucky to see as much as we did - lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, hippos and many more. As well as the amazing sundowners, going on a walking safari, and fishing next to two schools of hippos! Most memorable on safari was when we had to have a staring contest with a lion who seemed v interested in us in the jeep, after what felt like forever our guide turned the jeep engine on and the lion thankfully broke of his stare, no idea what would have happened if not! But our guide reassured us throughout and afterwards. On Pemba it was a much more relaxed time, but we went kayaking, did some amazing snorkelling and had a fantastic experience on dolphin safari with them all swimming and jumping in front of the boat. There were also the most amazing sunsets."
