Country: BotswanaOverall level of Satisfaction
Tribes Overall: "Really enjoyed the holiday. The representatives who met us where extremely helpfull and all of the places we stayed could not do enough for you."
Tribes Service: "Yes, we felt confident that we had all the info required and that if there was a problem we had useful contacts who would be able to sort out any issue."
Guides: "All the guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, there were some tough driving conditions in Khwai with the water levels being so high due to the recent flooding. "
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "We hope it is beneficial to the local people and the Botswana Government continues to encourage protection of the National Parks so that tourism continues and the environment is protected so that the animals are able to thrive. The people in Khwai do have some support from the Sango Safari Camp which was good to here and the camp do employ some of the local villagers. "
Accommodation
Guides were excellent and we felt well looked after.
The food was very good and the wine.
Highlight was an elephant in the camp which the guides had to drive away so we could walk to our tent.
The negative part was us not really being able to cope sitting in a Mokoro, however Amos our guide appreciated our back issues sitting in a Mokoro and we had the next 2 tours in the motor boat.
Smallest of our 4 camps and again very friendly staff and comfortable tented accomodation.
It was Frank our guide who found the leopard and wild dogs.
Very friendly staff who performed a traditional Boma evening on our final night inspite of the thunderstorm.
The guide was excellent, finding lions and a hyena and very knowledgeable.
We felt we could have easily stayed another couple of nights as there were several other things we could do, but alas we only had 2 nights here.
Our Memories
"Viewing the wildlife has to be the highlight. Wild dogs and a leopard feeding on a kill in a tree, was an experience we will always remember and all in the one afternoon!
