Number of people: 1
Country: Rwanda

Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "Rwanda and Malawi were excellent- Madagascar great experience but too much hard work and stress!"
Tribes Service: "Very helpful people , paperwork not always accurate. Beautiful book, quite a lot of typos in it! "
Guides: "Again this varied. Rwanda and Malawi everyone was really helpful and nearly everything of a really good standard. Madagascar nobody really had English that was good enough to cope. The drivers tried hard and their driving was good. "
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Good"

Mvuu Lodge
Lovely. Fabulous setting and the managers really tried hard.
Lake Kivu Serena Hotel
Fine for a stopover
Mountain Gorilla View Lodge
Cosy fires in your own room!
Nyungwe House
Beautiful setting. Log fires. Good food, very friendly great rooms, colobus monkey visits to my balcony .
IC Hotel
Lovely rooms but freezing cold, no heating and I got food poisoning both times I ate here!
Andasibe Hotel
Very nice rooms and with heat. Dining room was a bit forlorn/ it needed a fire!
Kirindy Lodge
As described so what I expected but pretty basic and one night would have been plenty. Everyone else went onto Belo and Tsingy after one night. The forest walks only take 2 hours, not 4 as in your itinerary and there was little to do otherwise.
Chez Maggie

Our Memories

"The gorillas were amazing. Mvuu lodge is very special. People at Danforth amazingly hospitable. At kirindy the fossa stole my lunch from the dining room!"
