The Inca Trial was the highlight, surprised by the wildlife and serenity along the treck. Campsites were basic but you have to appreciate the amount of equipment required to be carried between sites Logically you could reduce this by having more facilities on site but think this would ultimately impact on employment for porters.

A lot of special moments .... The magic of Machu Picchu for 2 days, climbing Wayna Picchu and the fantastic views from the top Train journey through the Andes Sunset on Patchamama (Amantani island) at 4130m. Going back in time on Taquile island. Loved our stay at Palacio del Inka.

How long have you got! Sitting in a canoe on Sandoval Lake at sunset and listening to the sounds of the forest around us. Waking up the next morning to the sound of Howler Monkeys and watching the Giant River Otters. Listening to our guide in Cusco enthusing about the Incas. The stunning views whilst biking in the Sacred Valley. The Inca Trail and Machu Picchu speak for themselves as they were breathtaking. Probably above all was the smiling faces of the Peruvian people in particular our porters on the trek who was truly phenomenal and very humorous.

Lake Titicaca, buying table clothes from our Homestay on Amantani, we took the one from the kitchen, still dirty!! Our hostess didn't bat an eyelid and nor did we! they were delightful. The warmth and friendliness of people in the countries we visited. The snorkeling in the Galapagos and the Orcas and whales we saw and the whole experience. Discovering new cities
