As mentioned our primary reason for going to the Torre del Paine was to see pumas, this was better than that as we were able to get close to them within twenty feet and walk alongside them, watch them feed on their kill also from twenty feet or so on two occasions- fabulous encounters. The scenery and other wildlife was also great.

The scenery of the Atacama desert and of the Altiplano was fantastic. The overall experience of Rapa Nui and its archaeological sites (and in particular the Rano Raraku quarry) was wonderful. We enjoyed the food (and wine and pisco sours!) everywhere and found the Chilean people generally very welcoming.
