From palaces to tigers, mountains to deserts, temples to train rides . . . India is so vastly varied that you come for wildlife, culture, food, adventure, history, luxury, spiritualism, or just great beaches. Be warned though, India is addictive.
This once-isolated, deeply religious country only opened its doors to travellers in 2011. Visit royal palaces, cruise on the Irrawaddy River, see temples and pagodas, stilted fishing villages on Inle Lake, and perhaps end with a few days on Ngapali Beach.
Nepal welcomes travellers with open arms to experience its magnificent mountain landscapes, ancient cities and religious monuments as well as its excellent wildlife reserves such as Chitwan and Bardia National Parks.
