The best things to do in Rwanda

There is no doubt that for most people the very best thing to do in Rwanda is go gorilla trekking. However, let’s not forget that there are also chimpanzees and other primates here too, great birding and other wildlife, plus breathtaking scenery, fascinating culture and history.

Not just gorillas in the mist

Trekking to see gorillas in the mountains is certainly one of Rwanda’s highlights. For many visitors, though, seeing chimps and golden monkeys can be just as special. Then there is the chance of seeing a shoebill stork and wildlife viewing in Akagera. Not to be forgotten, however, is the history and culture of this little country. Varied experiences such as these make a trip to Rwanda very special.
