Which month is right for your holiday to Mauritius?

January - February
These months are generally hot and humid in Mauritius, and tropical storms are common. On the coast, daytime temperatures average around 34°c until about May.

March - April
These are great months to visit. The temperatures are warm, but the humidity has lifted. There are some good pre-high season offers to be had at this time. Evenings in June can be a little cool.

July - August
These are cooler months as the tradewinds keep the climate very pleasant. It's a particularly nice time to travel here with children given that it's not too hot. June to August are the best months for surfing. Coastal daytime temperatures from June to September average a pleasant 22°c.

September - December
The temperatures start to rise again in September and the tradewinds disappear. These are good months to visit Mauritius as it's warm yet not too humid. October is probably the driest month, and also popular with families around half-term. The heat and humidity start to increase in December and rain is likely, although it will probably be a quick shower, then the sun will reappear. The good game fishing season starts in about October running through to April. The best diving is between November and March. On the coast, daytime temperatures from about November onwards average around 34°c.
