Breakfast time at Giraffe Manor, Nairobi, Kenya

Share your breakfast with a Rothschild’s giraffe

Don't expect to enjoy your breakfast in solitude at Giraffe Manor as a giraffe might well poke its head and long neck through the window to join you. Watch out for their long tongues, they can extend up to 50cm as they seek out tasty delicacies. (Grass pellets are a favourite, your full English breakfast is safe!)

At the heart of the Trust is the Orphans' Project and it does what it says on the tin. Over a period of many years, orphaned youngsters (mostly elephants) are rehabilitated and returned to the wild where they can thrive as part of a herd. A must see in Nairobi! It's not a zoo - it's an education!
