In the latter half of June 2017, I spent 10 nights in the Masai Mara. I moved around constantly from camp to camp, in both the Masai Mara reserve and the Mara private conservancies, getting a view of the different areas and the choice of properties.
Having not been to Kenya for some time, it was wonderful to see the prolific wildlife that was present in this area. Not only have I never seen so many big cats in such a small amount of time, but the number of plains game was extraordinary too, even though the Serengeti migration had not yet arrived.
I hope this video, even with my rather shaky photography skills at times, shows just how incredible this place is.
