I travelled with a writer, Karen Coe, and over the next few days and weeks, we will both be posting articles on our blog telling you all about various special places and experiences we can recommend to you first hand.

The trip was a split between being on safari and staying on tropical islands – I know, tough job!   In essence the areas we visited were: Saadani National Park, Pangani, Selous Game Reserve, Mafia Island and Fanjove Island.

If you’re interested in travelling to this region, don’t feel you have to wait to find out about it from our articles though, I am more than happy to chat to you about any of the places I went to. Just give me a call and I will happily talk to you about the strange wooden turret overlooking Saadani, excellent walking safaris from Beho Beho in Selous, getting close to lions near Amara Selous, a brand new place to stay on an uninhabited tropical island south of Mafia Island, swimming with stingless jellyfish …

In the meantime, take a look at a short fun preview video of our time in southern Tanzania.
