Set on its own island in the Okavango Delta, this small camp provides the chance to view game with a knowledgeable guide, and to unwind in peaceful seclusion. The lounge has panoramic views of the water channels and floodplains and is filled with distinctive touches such as beanbags decorated with animal silhouettes, a long curved sofa with cushions in many pastel shades, tables with bases that resemble hippos and hand crafted artworks. There's a cosy reading area with a hanging shelf filled with volumes for you to read, and the whole area leads out to a wide deck with sofas and chairs. The dining room, also open-sided, incl;udes its own veranda and looks out over the boma where a fire is lit each evening, the perfect spot for sundowners.

The nine guest tents are extremely roomy. As well as the bedroom with its four poster bed there's an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath, outdoor shower and a walkway leading to a terrace with a covered daybed for lazy lounging and your very own plunge pool.

From Xaranna you can take game drives in the private concession, including off road and night drives which optimise the amount of wildlife you can see. Your guide will not only help you find and identiify animals and birds, but will help you understand their roles in the wider ecosystem. When water levels allow yon can also explore by water, gliding through channels in a mokorro or cruising waterways by motorboat.
