Due to late pm arrival and very early am departure the following day, all we saw was our room! The staff were helpful in sorting out the issue related to our subsequent luggage collection by Swiss Travel for forward delivery to Arenal, though.

Beautiful view from the vast balcony. It was a great place to relax after the long flight and get our bearings. Loved having the sun loungers on the balcony. The staff were extremely friendly and we were all on first name terms after just 2 nights. I was sorry to leave!

Perfect for first night but we were a bit tired to appreciate it having taken four hours to get through immigration which was tough after a eleven hour flight.

From the moment Gabriel checked us in this hotel was a dream. The grounds for such a small hotel where extensive, beautifully maintained and included the most fantastic waterfalls. It also commands the best view of SAN Jose from breakfast to dinner in the open fronted dining room. The hotel is small and personal and the staff are a delight. Oscar introduced us to Guaro sours the best in Costa Rica. On opening our doors to the room you are just blown away with the size and comfort though it did take a little getting use to a shower that felt as if you were showering outside with its view of your own private courtyard. The large terrace gave 180 degree views over the mountains and San Jose which could also be viewed from the bed and sitting area. The sunset pool took a bit of an hike to but was worth every step
