Wangdicholing Resort is an attractive family-run hotel set high on a hill overlooking the Bumthang valley and river. It has two acres of gardens and is just one kilometre from Chamkhar town. The hotel is built in traditional Bhutanese style and opened in 2000.

Guests are accommodated in 35 rooms, traditionally furnished and featuring en-suite bathrooms. Each room has a Bukhari heater (wood burning stove), very effective in the cooler months. The restaurant serves a variety of cuisines including Indian, Chinese, Swiss and continental as well as Bhutanese. Guests can relax over a refreshing drink in the bar and chat with fellow guests. There is a veranda with views of the valley.

This is a good place from which to explore the Bumthang valley with its stunning scenery and impressive dzongs, monasteries and temples. Hotel staff can help guests arrange excursions to local places of interest and advise on trekking routes.
