Vundu Camp occupies a beautiful shady spot on the banks of the Zambezi, looking over to the Zambian escarpment.  With just 8 tents, it's a small camp with an excellent reputation.  Owned and operated by Nick Murray, a pro-Zim guide with almost thirty years experience (twenty of those being in the Mana Pools area) you can be assured of a high level of service and guiding by his camp staff and guides.

The tents at Vundu Camp are large, spacious and simply furnished.  The en-suite outdoor bathroom lets you shower under the starry sky and the delightful pottery basins are in fact hand-made by Nick's wife, Desiree. Each tent has a spacious veranda with seating offering a unique view of the river and mountains, with tall trees offering their shade.  Follow the sandy path to the main area, here, on an elevated deck to maximise the views you will find the lounge with plenty of comfy seating, a well-stocked bar, and the dining area with a long wooden table. This is where meals are served and the events of the day can be discussed.

Vundu Camp offers an authentic safari adventure with excellent guiding. You can begin your day with a guided walk of the area, Mana is known for walking safaris, or you could choose a game drive.  Afternoon game drives are also offered with the obligatory sundowner or you could take a half-day canoe trip down the Zambezi under the expert care of your guide who will navigate around any hippos or crocs who happen to be sharing the afternoon waters with you.  This private concession usually turns up a host of sightings for visitors and it is known for high concentrations of varied wildlife for you to enjoy.
