Villa Mandarine is a guest house in the smart embassy district of Rabat, a taxi ride from the city centre. Formerly a family home, it has been thoughtfully converted, retaining many period features. Rooms and suites are equipped with air conditioning, TV, phone, minibar and private terrace, balcony or private garden.

The main building houses the comfortable living room, billiards room, library and inviting African themed bar, all with views of the gardens. There are bougainvillea-covered terraces where you can relax and breathe in the scent of the orange groves. The hotel has a large heated swimming pool, surrounded by a terrace with sun loungers. There is also a paddling pool. The on-site spa offers massage, sauna, hot tub, traditional hamman and a gym.

Breakfast can be taken outside on the restaurant's terrace. Lunches can also be eaten al fresco or in the restaurant, which serves a mixture of European and typically Moroccan dishes. Local, freshly caught seafood often features on the menu.

Rabat's city centre includes the old walled city with its souks, the narrow streets of the medina and the imposing Kasbah of the Oudayas. There are beaches where swimming and surfing can be enjoyed. Other local activities include horse riding, tennis and golf.
