As the name suggests, Victoria Falls River Lodge lies on the banks of the Zambezi, just 5km upstream from the famous Falls themselves, it's so close to Victoria Falls that you'll be able to see the spray rising.  This luxury tented lodge is the first private game lodge to be built within the boundaries of the Zambezi National Park. 

Each tent (and we use that term loosely) is spacious, with a king-size bed, sitting area with a comfy sofa. The en-suite has a large bathtub for relaxing soaks and both indoor and outdoor showers. Three of the tents are larger for families. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, to help you relax and feel at home. You'll have your own viewing deck where you can unwind over a drink from the minibar as you watch hippos bathing in the river a short distance away.  

While your days will be filled with game viewing in 4x4s, boating on the river and activities at the Falls, you should still have time to appreciate the lodge facilities. Sit back and enjoy the company of other guests in the lounge, take a turn around the grounds and slip into the infinity pool for a refreshing swim. And always there are views of the river and its attendant wildlife which you can enjoy from the shady veranda. If you can, leave time for a soothing massage or pampering beauty treatment and a visit to the gift shop to pick up some souvenirs. 

Food is sure to be a highlight of your stay. The kitchen has been designed by American celebrity chef Bruce Bromberg and the chef and his team create delicious meals here including many local specialities which you'll savour in the riverside dining area, complimented by fine South African wines.
