Open:  Uma Paro is open all year.

Location:  Uma Paro is located just outside Paro town, about a 10 minute drive from the international airport.

Rooms:  There are 20 rooms including suites and 9 private villas, all with en-suit bathrooms. The suites and villas offer very spacious accommodation and the villas also have the services of a butler 24 hours a day. Some rooms and suites are interconnecting to form family accommodation.

Activities:  Exploring Paro with its monastery, museum, historical buildings and sacred sights. Guests can also explore the Paro Valley on foot or by bike. Staff can arrange various excursions further afield including visits to Tiger’s Nest monastery.  

Facilities:  Bukhari Restaurant serves Bhutanese and international dishes. Meals can also be enjoyed privately in various locations around the hotel and in the privacy of your own room. Uma Bar offers a range of soft and alcoholic drinks as well as Shambala cuisine. Shambala Retreat is a spa with a comprehensive selection of treatments including Ayurvedic therapies and traditional Bhutanese hot stone baths. It also offer yoga and meditation sessions and has steam rooms and a gym.  

Dining: Meals are taken at private tables in the restaurant, in the courtyard, by the pool, in the archery field or in your private room.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome.  

Health:  We recommend malarial prophylactics for travel to the low lying districts of southern Bhutan.

Communication:  There free Wi-Fi internet access in all rooms, suites and villas.
