Location: The lodge is located in the Mamiraua Reserve in the Brazilian Amazon, on a bend in the Solimoes River. It is about a 90 minute motorboat ride from Tefe, which is a 1 hour flight from Manaus.

Rooms: There are 10 suites, equipped with solar power. All have en-suite bathrooms and private terrace.

Activities: The lodge offers excursions in motorised canoes on rivers and lakes and guided walks on forest trails, all led by local guides. There are 2 seasons, the rainy season from January to April, and the dry season from May to September. In the dry season the wildlife concentrates in and around the remaining wetlands. During the flood season (May to July) all excursions are done by canoe. Nocturnal boat rides and walks are offered. There is a hide in the forest, designed for viewing and photographing animals and birds. Guests can also visit local villages. Guests can observe wildlife from the lodge.

Facilities: There is a restaurant offering a varied menu featuring fresh fish, chicken, regional fruit and juices. The lodge does not serve red meat. The 2 floor central area of the lodge also has a library, video and conference room, television room, bar and deck. The lodge provides a laundry service. Batteries can only be charged for a very limited time each day, so it is advisable to bring spares.

Health: Uakari Floating Lodge is in an area of low malaria risk, though prophylactics are often recommended for the Amazon.

Communication: There is free Wi-Fi internet access and a VHF radio communication system.

Notes: Please note that luggage should be limited to 15kgs for the motorboat transfers to and from the lodge.
