Tubu Tree Camp is located in the Jao Reserve, to the west of Moremi in the Okavango Delta. It's remote location on Hunda Island it offers varied and spectacular game viewing.
It is a traditional style tented safari camp built on raised wooden platforms, with expansive views over the floodplains. There are 8 large tents, one of which is a family tent. Each with its own private deck. All have ensuite bathrooms as well as a private outdoor shower. The main dining and lounge areas are large and open plan, set on raised platforms with thatched covering. The camp also has an inviting pool and deck with sun loungers, for that all-important down time between activities.
Activities include day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles along with seasonal mokoro and boat excursions on the waterways. Guided game and bird walks are also offered. Wildlife seen here is varied and includes elephant, lion, zebra, giraffe and wildebeest.

More reviewsTubu Tree and Little Tubu are 2 camps connected by walkways. I stayed at Little Tubu, but also popped in to see Tubu Tree. I like both the camps and they both have a very similar atmosphere. They're friendly, with lovely airy tented rooms with everything you need and shaded by the trees surrounding the camp. The verandahs all look out onto a gorgeous open plain backed with trees. The camps are known for being a good place to see leopards, and sure enough we saw a leopard and cub at a kill within an hour of being on our game drive. You won't often see lions, wild dogs or cheetahs here, which is why leopards do so well. We got also got decent sightings of other wildlife such as eles, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, hippos, impala... I'd happily come again, and would also recommend Little Tubu as a good spot for a whole family to take over as a private camp.
