The Seyyida is a 17-room, mid-range boutique hotel in the heart of historic Stone Town on Zanzibar island. The building, a renovated 4-storey townhouse, is next to the Palace Museum (the former home of the Zanzibari Royal Family) and close to the Forodhani Gardens, House of Wonders, the Old Fort and waterfront area. Just bear in mind that being in the heart of the town means that this is not the quietest place you could choose.
The rooms include a mezzanine suite with private terrace, a family suite, 4 balcony Stone Town view rooms, 4 balcony seaview rooms, 2 garden view rooms and 4 deluxe rooms. All rooms have large king size beds, luxurious bathrooms, TV and internet connection, mosquito nets and ceiling fans, air conditioning, mini bar, coffee maker and safes. They are decorated with traditional Swahili style furnishings.
There is a rooftop restaurant with lovely views over the town, harbour and Indian Ocean, and an elegant lounge bar where you can meet and chat with fellow guests over a relaxing drink. There is a small pool in the courtyard garden, a real plus for a town centre property. The hotel has a spa offering a wide range of health and beauty treatments.

Client Rating for Tanzania 5/5 from 217 reviews
More reviewsWE had a lovely room, large and comfortable. Dinner on the rooftop terrace overlooking the sea was magical. Then they let themselves down by forgetting our wake up call, fairly crucial since we had a 5 a.m. pick up, and then the promised breakfast packages were nowhere to be seen when we left.
