Open: The Ritz Carlton is open all year. It first opened in 2003.

Location: The Ritz Carlton is in the upmarket Las Condes district of Santiago, which borders affluent Vitacura with its smart restaurants, bars and shops. The international airport is about 17kms away.

Rooms: There are 205 rooms and suites. All have high speed internet access, TV, telephone, in-room entertainment system, iPod dock, clock radio, safe, hairdryer and en-suite bathroom stocked with toiletries and supplied with bathrobes and slippers. All rooms and suites have city views. The 126 deluxe and 49 club rooms offer 40sqm of space and have either 1 king size bed or 2 queen beds and can take an extra bed if needed, at extra charge. Club rooms have free wifi access. Club rooms and suites confer access to the club lounge. There are 14 junior suites, each with 50sqm of space including a sitting area, are located on the 12th and 14th floors. They have either a king size bed or 2 queen size beds. The 15 executive suites provide 60sqm and have a separate lounge. The presidential suite is 180sqm, has a dining area and one bathroom plus a smaller wash room. It is on the 14th floor. All suites have complimentary wifi, TV, radio and iPod dock, and can accommodate a 3rd person at an extra charge. Room service is available round the clock.

Activities: You can go sightseeing and shopping in the city and local area. The concierge can advise on places of interest and help plan your days.

Facilities: The hotel has a restaurant and cafe (see below), a lounge and cosy bar. There is a rooftop spa, heated pool and gym all set beneath a glass roof, and a terrace. The hotel offers a free laundry service.

Dining: Estro is the hotel's main restaurant and serves modern Chilean cuisine. Cafe Ritual provides a choice of coffees plus freshly made cakes and is open during the day from Monday to Friday. Afternoon tea is available in the lobby lounge each day.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. There are some interconnecting rooms. The Ritz Kids programme is designed for children ages 4 to 12 and includes daily tailored activities and special menus.

Health: There is no malaria in Chile.

Communication: Wired and wireless internet access is available in rooms and suites for a charge, and in some communal areas.

Notes: Some guest rooms are modified for wheelchair access. Most communal areas including reception, restaurants, lounges, spa and pool are wheelchair accessible.
