Open:  The Fort is open all year.

Rooms:  The Fort is located on a ridge at 2,166 metres at edge of the hill town of Nagarkot in the Kathmandu Valley. It is set in 14 acres of grounds. The airport at Kathmandu is just 19kms away and the city is about 30kms away.  

Rooms:  There are 40 rooms, some in the main building and others in Newari-style cottages in the gardens. These have wooden floors and beamed ceilings and views of the gardens.  

Activities:  Hiking – the hotel has a programme of day hikes, rock climbing and mountain biking. Guests can go canoeing, rafting and fishing in the Indrawati River. They can also explore Nagarkot, stroll in the hotel’s garden looking for birds and butterflies. The hotel can arrange visits to traditional handicrafts workshops and local villages.  

Facilities:  Meals are served in the restaurant or on the terrace with views of the Himalayas. Local and international dishes are offered. There is a cosy bar. Guests can relax with a book in the library. There are several acres of gardens. The hotel offers a currency exchange, safe, travel desk and laundry service.   

Dining:  Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome.

Health: Nagarkot is not a malarial area.

 

Communication:  There is free Wi-Fi internet access in public areas.
