The first and best resort hotel in Nagarkot, The Fort sits at the top of the Northern Ridge and enjoys unobstructed views of over 300km of the world's tallest mountains, from Manaslu in the west to Everest in the East. Just an hour and a half from Kathmandu, The Fort has been designed in a traditional Newari style featuring fine woodwork. The hotel offers a variety of rooms to suit all tastes - the main building has 15 rooms, most of them enjoying mountain views, while there are a total of 20 rooms in one and two storey cottages, all featuring balconies and panoramic views.

The Fort is at an altitude of 2,000m and protects an area of 6 acres of dense woodlands. The hotel features a good restaurant serving Nepalese and international cuisine, as well as a bar. You can enjoy a drink on the terrace outside, although it can be chilly in winter. The rooms are cozy, with gas heaters and hot water bottles provided for cold nights.
