Open: Tambo Aymara is open all year.

Location: The lodge is in a quiet neighbourhood in the town of Uyuni in the southwest of the country, near the famous salt flats. The airport is about a 10-minute drive away.

Rooms: There are twin, double and triple rooms, all en-suite. They are simply furnished, have painted walls, tiled floors, heating and hot and cold running water. Each room is named after an Aymara tribe.

Activities: Visit the famous Uyuni salt flats, the largest in the world. View the train cemetery 3kms outside the city.

Facilities: The hotel is set around a central courtyard. There is a dining room, coffee shop and bar. The hotel has a library. There is a seating area in the lobby. The hotel offers a laundry service.

Dining: Breakfast is a buffet with a choice of sweet and savory dishes.
