  • Tambo Aymara guest room

  • Convenient base for visiting Uyuni salt flats
  • Heated rooms and hot water showers
  • Secluded courtyard
  • Choice of dishes for breakfast
  • See the train cemetery near town

This hotel is in the town of Uyuni and is a convenient place to stay when visiting the famous salt flats, the largest in the world, and the train cemetery where you can see a number of early 20th locomotives abandoned when plans to enlarge the rail network failed. The hotel is a little way out of the town centre and the main square, Plaza Arce, named after the Bolivian president who founded the town in 1889.

The hotel offers simple accommodation in rooms of various sizes, all with heating and a private bathroom with a hot water shower, important as the weather can be very cold here. Rooms are arranged around a courtyard, and there's additional seating in the lobby, where you can use the complimentary Wi-Fi internet access. A generous buffet spread is provided at breakfast time each day to set you up for the day.
