Taj Tashi

Open: Taj Tashi is open all year.

Location: Taj Tashi is located in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, an hour's drive from Paro airport.

Rooms: There are 66 rooms ranging from deluxe to luxury suites, located over several floors. All have en-suite bathrooms with heated towel rails and underfloor heating. Some rooms have private sit-outs while the suites have separate sitting rooms and those located on the top floors are particularly spacious. All rooms have views of the Thimphu Valley and mountains beyond.

Activities: Exploring the town of Thimphu with its historical buildings, squares and fascinating markets, visiting monasteries and exploring the Thimphu Valley.

Facilities: There is a choice of dining options. Chig-ja-gye serves Bhutanese food while The Trongsel offers Indian, Thai and international dishes. There is also a tea lounge and a well-stocked bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks. Jive Spa has a comprehensive range of treatments and includes steam rooms, a Jacuzzi and Bhutanese hot stone baths. There is a gym and indoor heated swimming pool.

Dining: Meals are taken at private tables in the restaurants.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome.

Health: We recommend malarial prophylactics for travel to the low lying districts of southern Bhutan.

Communication: There is high speed internet access.
