Tafika Camp is situated adjacent to the Nsefu sector of South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. The remote location is ideal for those who really want to get away from it all. Located on the banks of the Luangwa River, it offers a relaxing and peaceful base from which to enjoy game viewing on foot and by road. There is also a huge variety of birdlife. Add some variety with a guided bike ride by the Luangwa River, possibly linked to a visit to Mkasanga village.

Tafika is known for its wildlife hides. There are three specially positioned hides where you can enjoy privileged views of animals and birds and capture some stunning photographs. One is above a waterhole near the camp entrance and another is located to get views along the Luangwa River. Elephants, hippos and many other animals can be seen coming the water's edge to drink and bathe. The third hide is seasonal, built once the carmine bee-eaters have selected their nesting site and positioned to enable perfect sightings of these gorgeously coloured birds.

There are six spacious chalets including a family suite, which can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests. These are built with local materials and have en-suite facilities, including an open-air shower. Shaded from the hot noon-day sun by giant Leadwood trees, there are plenty of quiet spots to sit and watch the activity on the river, read, or just relax and listen to the sounds of the bush. The food is excellent and utilises fresh fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden.
