Svasara Jungle Lodge is set in several acres of grounds adjacent to Tadoba National Park, one of India's best tiger spotting locations. The lodge offers twice-daily jeep safaris to make the most of your time in Tadoba.
There are 12 suites, each with a sitting area, modern bathroom and private veranda. The rooms are quite simple and nicely decorated, in keeping with a wildlife lodge. There’s aircon, a mini-fridge and tea and coffee facilities in the room as well as a safe and phone.
The restaurant specialises in the local Varadi cuisine, which blends spices and coconut to produce flavorsome dishes. On some evenings dinner will be themed on a different cuisine from other parts of India such as Punjabi, Mughlai or Kashmiri. Other Indian and international cuisine is also served.
The Teakhouse is an outdoor dining pavilion with its own tandoor (clay oven), where a bonfire is lit at night. On most evenings slide shows and films are presented here just before dinner.
There is a small spa and swimming pool which is a great place to spend some time between your game drives.
The lodge welcomes families and has games and arts and crafts products for children. There's a shop on site where you can buy locally-made items which make great gifts and souvenirs.
