Open: Splash Camp is open all year. It first opened in June 2018.

Location: The camp is in the 175,000 hectare Kwara Private Reserve within the Okavango Delta. The camp is a 40 minute drive from Kwara airstrip.

Rooms: There are 10 guest rooms and 2 guide rooms. The guest rooms include 2 larger family units, each with 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Rooms are set on raised decks and all have a terrace with comfy chairs overlooking the pan. Every room has an en-suite bathroom with twin hand basins, a flush toilet and a shower plus an outdoor shower.
Splash Camp includes Splash Enclave, used exclusively for groups of 6 to 10 or more, with no age restrictions. These groups will use the same rooms as the main camp but have their own communal facilities with a lounge, bar, dining area and plunge pool. It is offered on a request only basis.

Activities: You can take part in both land and water based activities from Splash Camp. These include game drives and night drives in 4x4 vehicles with a guide and a tracker, guided walks, mokoro and boat trips, fishing (from March to December) and trips to the heronries in Godikwe and Gcobega lagoons between August and December.

Facilities: Splash Camp’s communal areas comprise a lounge, bar, orientation centre, gift shop, a deck with a plunge pool, and a camp fire used for early breakfasts and post dinner drinks and stories.
Splash Enclave has its own secluded dining area, lounge, bar, deck and plunge pool.

Dining: Meals are served indoors and outside, and can be eaten as a group or at individual tables.

Children: Children aged 6 years and over are welcome. There is no minimum age limit for Splash Enclave. There are 2 family units with 2 bedrooms each. The minimum age for mokoro trips and guided walks is 12 years.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: There is no internet access or mobile phone coverage.

Notes: The area in which the camp is situated is known as splash due to the amount of water that has to be crossed to reach it.

Client Rating for Botswana 5/5 from 120 reviews

Wildlife could wander freely through the camp especially during the night but we were escorted by guides and felt perfectly safe. Very friendly staff. Food is very good.
