Splash Camp, named after the high levels of water in the area, is a small camp with a pleasantly relaxed feel set around a water pan in the Kwara Private Reserve. This location means that you can enjoy both land and water based activities year round, providing a rounded safari experience.

Game drives operate with a guide and tracker, optimising opportunities for sightings, and take place in open 4x4 vehicles. As this is a private reserve you can go for nocturnal drives and take part in guided nature walks, both of which add an extra aspect to the bush experience, Mokoro rides allow you to sit back and admire the scenery, birds and frogs as you are poled through waterways, while boat trips enable you to travel further afield in search of wildlife. Fishing is offered all year apart from January and February, and if you're here between August and December you can visit local heronries.

With all this on your doorstep your days are sure to be filled with activity, but there is time to rest during the heat of the day, as you enjoy the company of fellow guests in the lounge, sip a thirst quenching drink the bar and cool off in the plunge pool. Meals are served indoors and outside and are often eaten together as a group. The firepit comes into its own at dawn and after dark, for pre-safari breakfasts and post dinner drinks and fireside chats.

Accommodation is in wooden chalets set on elevated decks, each with an en-suite bathroom with a shower, twin hand basins and flush toilet, plus an additional outdoor shower. There are 2 family units with 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. All rooms have a private veranda with views of the pan and its attendant wildlife.

Splash Enclave is available exclusively for groups of 6-10 people, or possibly more. It uses the same rooms as the main camp but has its own social areas set away from the camp, comprising a lounge, bar, dining area and plunge pool. There is no age restriction for Splash Enclave, making it ideal for family groups.
