Open: Somalisa Camp is open all year. 

Location: Hwange National Park along the Kennedy vlei line, in a private concession. The nearest airstrip is Manga, about a half hour drive from the camp.

Rooms: There are 7 luxurious tents, all en-suite and set on elevated decks. They are entered through sliding gauze doors and are kept cosy on chilly nights by wood burners, with ceiling fans to keep them cool on hot days. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided and teh beds are fitted with mosquito nets. Bathrooms have full running water, a copper bathtub, twin hand basins and shower, and there's an additional outdoor shower.

Facilities: There is a swimming pool, comfy lounge, bar and main dining area.  Batteries can be charged in the communal area. The camp overlooks a waterhole. There is a free laundry service. 

Activities:  Game drives, by day and night, and guided walks are offered in the private concession and also in the main areas of the park. Private vehicles are available at extra cost and need to be booked in advance. This is a good bird watching area with ober 470 species on record. You can accompany a guide on a tour of local villages which the camp supports through the African Bush Camps Foundation.

Dining: Meals are served communally on the main deck. 

Children:Children over the age of 7 are welcome. The minimum age for walking safaris is 16 , but younger chilrden can take part in guided nature walks around the camp.

Health: This is a malarial area. 

Communication: There no WiFi or mobile signal at Somalisa Camp.

Notes: Somalisa Camp underwent a thorough refurbishment in 2016
