Open:  Simbavati River Lodge is open all year.

Location:  The lodge is in the northern sector of the private Timbavati Game Reserve which has an unfenced border with Kruger National Park

Rooms:  There are 8 tented rooms and 3 family suites. All have an en-suite bathroom with bath, and shower, and a private veranda. They are air conditioned and include a safe. Family rooms have the addition of another bedroom and are built of brick with a thatch roof.

Activities:  There are day and night game drives in the reserve, which is a Big 5 destination. As well as the big game to be found, this is a good area for bird watching.  Please note that walking safaris are not possible here.

Facilities:   The main lodge is spacious and houses a lounge, bar and dining area and there is also a large outdoor deck. There are reference books for guests to read and drinks are served here throughout the day. Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck weather permitting and dinner is can be eaten in the boma around the fire or in the main building under thatch. There is a small swimming pool and a Spa offering some tempting treatments.

Dining:  Meals are taken communally on the deck and in the boma.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome at Simbavati River Lodge, please note there may be restrictions on activities, but there is a children's programme for the little safari-goers.

Health:  This is a malarial area.

Communication:  There is internet access in the main area.
